Comfortable, state of the art facilities are available to you in and at our newest home, our 20,000 square foot facility on Butler avenue in Providence. The new facility features safe, easy, widely-spaced parking for our ground-floor facility; it has state-of-the art computer and medical facilities; and therapy rooms both enormous and intimate -- to fit your needs. Extensive gym equipment, specially reinforced walls, padded flooring and a dedicated aquatherapy room round out the features of this exciting addition to the family of UO Physical Therapy facilities. |

More than 40,000 patient visits take place in our facilities every year. Our patients range from 5 to 95 and include men and women, boys and girls from around the state. Some are recovering from injuries and operations, while others are working to avoid them. New, non-intrusive techniques are helping some avoid surgeries that would have been needed a few years ago. And many of our visitors are simply seeking to avoid future injury – or enhance their performance in sports or at work.

People visit our staff of 20 trainers and therapists to recover from accidents, injuries and surgeries. Coaches have also referred many injured athletes, through their primary care physicians. UO’s PT facilities are home to expert staff with medical focus. Patients that need spinal and reconstructive surgery will also find specialized programs, areas and staff ready to focus on helping them to heal.

Our training programs train your body and your mind – patients learn useful exercises they can do to strengthen and rebuild after injuries. And for athletes, our staff can show you what to avoid and what to watch out for. The full spectrum of therapeutic options are available at UO – and we help you understand them.

The latest imaging equipment. The latest thinking in facility spaces. Aquatherapy. Sports medicine machines like the Kaiser pneumatic resistance equipment, rarely seen outside Division One colleges. At UO, we use the latest innovations to get you the strongest possible results – and our specialists are constantly improving on existing technology and techniques, with over 30 medical patents between them.

Sport Therapy at UO focuses not only on overall readiness, but on sport-specific movements. So it’s a little different for every athlete that comes in. Special sport-centered clinics are held at the beginning of each season, to help players and coaches assess their readiness – and identify any bad habits that might cause injuries – before they happen. Teams from Junior High to the Pros have relied on UO to get them ready for full, exciting seasons.

We apply the same idea to occupational therapy, with programs tailored to individual needs and designed to get injured employees back to work both faster and safer! So you don’t have to be an athlete to be treated like one.

Another interesting option we offer is Performance Enhancement. Performance Enhancement is Physical Training for people who aren’t injured or recovering. It’s designed to help your body do what you want it to do, better and safer. By targeting select muscle groups, body parts and specific movements, performance enhancement can yield dramatic results. It’s been used by athletes and coaches of all levels to get a training and performance edge. And it’s now available with no physician referral required.
