Brad Blankenhorn, MD

Dr Blankenhorn has always kept my best interests at heart. He has always told and been completely upfront with me. He saved my leg and I could not have asked for a better surgeon I trust him totally. I have to go in for another surgery and again I trust him I trust his judgment and that makes me feel much more comfortable about the surgery I need to go through again. I can't thank him enough for everything he has done for me.

This practice is extremely well­organized! I was very pleased. I was able to get x­rays and see the doctor within 30 minutes. Dr. Blankenhorn was very friendly and thorough.

Dr. Blankenhorn Is attentive & thorough. His medical assistant, not sure of her name (Ginger hair ) is not professional at all. I heard her talking (threw the door) about me to a coworker (giving her opinion about me and what she thought was going on with my injury) She was at her computer & I was in the exam room waiting for the other girl to come in and size me for anti­shock sneaker inserts. If she's going to talk about a patient she should really wait till there gone. But she's not the doctor and shouldn't be judging or have an opinion on a patients injury never mind gossip about it to coworkers. This was bothering me since my visit. Then over the weekend I was sent this survey and decided it should be addressed.

Uni Ortho really needs to decrease wait times. This strikes me as really poor office management and should be examined and corrected.

The woman who took my X­Rays was horrible. Three (3) times she banged my head on the X­Ray machine without even knowing it.Thank you very much for that. I also use a cane and my balance is terrible ­ she did nothing to help me stand up for a certain X­Ray ­ a man came out of the "small room"and gave me a stool with a high handle to use to stand up. Thank you again.

Professional personable

Dr. B. was focused and thorough.

I came in for metatarsalgia and my foot was X­rayed to make sure I didn't have a stress fracture or something. Usually doctors share X­rays with the patient, and I would have liked that. It seems like my foot has some abnormal bone structure contributing to this problem, and I would like to know about this, so I can consider this when I'm making shoe choices or having unexplainable foot pain (which is pretty common for me these days). Dr. Blankenhorn was great, he explained things very clearly, and he answered my many questions. His assistants and the x­ray technician were all very polite and helpful.

Dr.Blankenhorn made me feel as if I was a patient of his for many years, I was very happy with the way he addressed my problems and the options I had. Everyone that I dealt with there was very pleasant.

Dr. Blinkhorne was great. The reception area did not appear to be to be customer focused. I dont like standing in front of someone and not being acknowledged in some way even if its eye contact, a smile or some tpye of gesture that indicates I see you in front of me, I'll be with you in a moment. The front facing people are extremely important seeing that they are the first people you see. Thank you.

Dr. Blankenhorn is An Amazing Foot/Ankle Surgeon! I am almost 3 months post­op Bunion Surgery back to normal activities with little to no pain! Both Dr. Blankenhorn and I are beyond pleased with the recovery I have made. So happy to have made this decision to have Bunion Surgery. I would recommend anyone considering having this surgery to just get it done. It is not as painful as everyone says it is! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Blankenhorn to anyone considering foot/ankle surgery.

Dr Blankenhorn is a great surgeon. He not only diagnosed what nobody else could and he saved my leg. It was a tough recovery. But I'm thankful that is a wonderful Doctor Surgeon and person. I want to thank him very very much

Dr. Blankenhorn really puts the needs of the patient first. He discussed what surgery would be like, the quantity of time to fully heal, how long after surgery that I would feel normal and then how much time until the surgery would feel like a massive improvement. This info allows me to make the decision on when surgery would be a needed procedure and to be able to schedule time out of work and with my family.

From start to finish, I was impressed with the care and quality of service I received on my surgical day. In relation to Dr. Blankenhorn specifically... he's great. The one thing from my surgical experience that I want to comment about... When I saw Dr. B in pre­op, he had his credentials around his neck on a wooden beaded lanyard. I am so glad I saw that because when I was in the OR and I was nervous about surgery, I searched for Dr. B among all the masks and hats I saw, but couldn't tell who was who. I had a momentary panic thinking that he wasn't there yet. But then I saw the beads and I knew he was there and that I could relax. I think it would be a great idea if you could all label yourselves better in the OR. But that's my only concern/complaint.

I am surprised that I have not had an individual call and check up on me after the surgery. I’ve received questionnaires about process and satisfaction levels, but would have thought a person would be checking in with me afterwards.

Anesthesia modifications due to Covid were not explained until after I was in pre­op.

Dr. Blankenhorn is very professional. Patience immediately pick up on his honest concern about them.

This was my 2nd surgery for my ankle...the first one by Dr. Blankenhorn. I can't thank him enough for fixing my foot. It's getting better every day. Thank you again so much!

They were supposed to set up a visit with another doctor but have not heard anything.

Day of visit , was really a squeeze in after my wife called U.O. and once they knew how much time had passed since the day that my foot got broke or the day i broke 5 bones in my right foot they had me come right into their office within a 2 hour period , I then had x rays and then seen Dr .Brad Blankenhorn, M.D. , and then a few more x ray's while the Dr, moved my foot around. then back to room to go over what he had seen on the x rays while putting pressure on my broken foot , then after going over a few different methods of fixing my foot / repairing my foot , i signed a couple of different contracts and praying for the best. I never received a letter telling me NOT to work or to Return to work , I've been driving the Ricon Trucking LLC , Dump Truck every work day since the day i broke all those bones In my right foot , I take all my meds as prescribed by my Dr and wear my air boot , so why can't i go to work and make a pay check , That way i can pay my bill's, if i waite for other's to send me a check , My wife and I will lose our home that we both work so very hard for and many , many year to get. I feel that i should be able to get a Dr's note saying i can just drive NO laboring at all , untill workers Comp Decides to let me get the surgery that's needed to get my foot back to normal. Sorry but its how i feel , Look at all the time that's passed by already . And who knows how much more time it will take.

Thought he said a return.visit could be made in 5 to 6 weeks & then he would decide if a cortisone injection was warranted but when I went to checkout was told could return prn. This was confusing because now I am wondering if he does not think treatment would be worthwhile or is he hoping hypertrophied muscle will soften on its own to the point that pain will be lessened. As of now I do not have a follow­up appointment & will decide on my own if I should return.

Dr. Blankenhorn is an exceptional person and physician. He is an excellent diagnostician who presents all treatment options in an easy to understand manner while pointing out the risks and benefits of each approach. He has been recommended to 2 of my professionsl colleagues (nurses from RI Hospital)who have been more than happy with him. He is very kind, patient and compassionate. Dr. Blankenhorn is an excellent physician. I have had many issues with both of my feet and ankle. Although i needed two surgeries on the right foot, he got it where it needed to be. I do not heal well but he is meticulous and attentive. Now on to the left foot eventually. He is informative, caring, and conservative. I would recommend him to anyone searching for a foot specialist.

Besides having to wait over 30 minutes on my last visit, I have no issues at all. Dr. Blankenhorn is great!

Dr. Brad Blankenhorn and his team were amazing in caring for medical need! However, the nurse at the recovery could have been a little more kind, caring and compassionate by not putting my shoe from the floor in the same bag that contained my cloths when I had a separate bag for it or at least ask first, rushing me to the toilet that I did not request to go, then out of the facility because of my incontinence of which I had no control over as I was trying to process everything that had happened to me in a short time span. Her justification: she phoned the anesthesiologist who instructed that there’s no reason for me to stay and that I have to leave, which I already knew ­ I did not appreciate her approach. Special thanks to nurses Holly, Ana and CNA Rai.

Doctor Blankenhorn is by far the best doctor. I had a very severe ankle fracture him and his team made my surgury seamless and recovery great would reccomend to anybody with my condition or similar. I also think the staff all around from the x ray techs, medical assistants and ortho techs were top notch very professional and made my experience that much better.

The only concern or recommendation I would have for the office would be is the communication between the Surgical Coordinator and the patient. There was NONE. I received no surgical packet prior to surgery, no pre­operative instructions. I don’t know if this is normal protocol for this office or because I was having surgery in the EBSC.

I found Dr. Blankenhorn extremely courteous. He did an excellent job explaining the surgery and answering any questions in Terms I was able to understand which made a difficult issue easy to address. I would highly recommended him to others.

Dr Blankenhorn was excellent. I felt very comfortable and relieved given his expertise and general concern in providing the necessary care. Would absolutely recommend for any foot or ankle concerns. I feel confident in getting back to 100% and stronger than pre injury. In addition to Dr Blankenhorn, all other individuals who assisted me during my visit were fantastic, welcoming, knowledgeable and deserve top marks as well.

I liked him very much. He was warm; he was concerned about my foot. He reassured me that it was not very serious. He gave me excellent advice. He was personal, friendly, reassuring. I will return to see him for a check up on the healing progression of my foot.

He’s extremely competent and thorough. He’s also very easy to talk with about the concerns I’ve had. We agreed that I’d call him with any new concerns, and that this problem is essentially done.

The wait time so far for my appointments have been excessively long. Should not have to wait that long for a five minute visit.

Dr. Blankenhorn is an exceptional physician. As a nurse with >50 year experience, my expectations are high. And Dr. Blankenhorn EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS. He is a consummate professional, an exceptional kind and caring physician. I am blessed to have him as one of my physicians. Love him dearly.

There was a bit of a wait (maybe 40 minutes) to get my X­ray because one machine was inoperative that day, but I was kept informed about the status.

Dr. Brad Blankenhorn is a wonderful Dr! He’s professional & speaks with experience, authority & knowledge!! After just having appendix surgery I fell and broke my ankle! Dr Blankenhorn opted to not put me thru another surgery in 2 weeks time! He felt my ankle could heal on its own as long as I completely followed his directions! He’s a Dr who takes time to listen to his patient as well, without rush!! Highly recommend Dr Brad Blankenhorn for foot/ankle issues of any kind!! I’ll be back for a hammer toe issue when I’m ready!

Brad was friendly and easy to speak to. However, I only saw him for under 10 minutes. I felt a bit rushed both by him and the nurse I saw before him. The nurse was also in the room with me for less than 10 minutes. I did not feel I got the chance to say everything I wanted to share with them about the discomfort I was experiencing.

Very good doctor

I am answering this for my wife, who has Alzheimer's Disease. Carol was treated kindly and with respect, and very efficiently. We were seen quickly, the resident/fellow was in promptly to see us, and Dr. Blankenhorn came in promptly after that. It was a highly satisfactory visit.

Brad was absolutely fine but the staff was absolutely terrible when it comes to filling out paperwork for TDI and Cigna . The staff needs serious work with all the communication as far as handing off paperwork and making sure it gets filled out I will not recommend that office simply because of some of the supporting staff. A matter of fact I think this survey is a joke because I've done this before and I've asked to be contacted regarding this survey and no one ever did.

My whole experience has been excellent thus far including the day of surgery with him.
