UNIVERSITY ORTHOPEDICS NOW TREATING PATIENTS IN BARRINGTON

Barrington, RI, July 1, 2016– Dr. Peter K. Kriz, M.D. will now be providing orthopedic care on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 AM to 4 PM in Barrington, RI at 236 County Road. Appointments may be made at 401-457-1500.

Dr. Kriz is a graduate of Boston College and Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Kriz completed a pediatric and chief residency at Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children's Hospital. He completed a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital in 2010. Dr. Kriz's research interests include injury prevention in youth sports and sport-related concussion. He currently is an assistant team physician at Brown University and team physician at Barrington High School, and provides concussion management for the Providence Bruins Professional Hockey Team. Special interests include throwing injuries, sports concussion management, and musculoskeletal ultrasound. He is a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine, a member of the AAP’s Council on Sports Medicine and Fitness, and has lectured at numerous national meetings on the topic of youth sports injuries. He is a Rhode Island Monthly Top Doctor in Sports Medicine from 2012 through 2016.
